Boo Bash 2010...

Given the chance to make a fool of ourselves...we will.
Our daughter's best friend Shannon and her mom Charlotte have thrown a Boo Bash, give or take, every year since she was in high school. Our good fortune is to know them and be invited. These two are the hostess with the mostess...true Southern Belle's.

Soooo....I thought to myself, Lucy and Desi? Or Dancing with the Stars?...nope, I thought, "Bret Micheals and his Rock of Love"....now that's something  we could really sink our teeth into! Gotta have some fun now and then...

Our beautiful daughter, nurse mommy and mermaid Leah looking so cute....
Leah and her motley crue gramma and pop pop....
No Boo Bash is complete without a beautiful vampire...
Good friends, mother of the bride Kathy, bride to be Carrie, Charlotte and Shannon
Our sweet girls at the pumkin patch

Oh how I love this baby girl....
Looking forward to seeing Jack Halloween weekend and Sam at Thanksgiving...
so much to look forward to!

Thanksgiving Memories...

Sis took this shot of our Thanksgiving table...
The red polka dot fork would be our new
Pottery Barn kids silverware...adorable.
Also adorable were three of my grandchildren
around the table.

Leah is an old hat at Thanksgiving....

Kate and Jack celebrated for the first time....

After the food, fun and dishes were done I settled in the kids bedroom
for some one on one with my Kate....we were listening to
Somewhere over the rainbow and having tea.
The photo on the little chest is of Leah and the little prayer books are her favorites
Happy and content is how one facebook friend said I looked.....I was
Love spending precious time with my family!
~~~~~~
This is the third Thanksgiving we have celebrated since we all started counting calories on http://www.thedailyplate.com/
We have all changed in so many ways for the good
during these past couple of years
At Talbot's the other day, a clerk that knew me during the fat years,
made mention how much happier I seem,
carry myself differently, hair, attitude all better.
All I know is..... I sure feel great!
~~~~~~~
Liz Curtis Higgs said this moring on facebook,
"Ready for some good news?
The Lord offers grace instead of condemnation.
Life instead of law.
Freedom instead of bondage.
Hope instead of despair.
Oh, happy day!"
Amen!

Excuse me while I brag a little....

Sis's neighborhood rocks Halloween....
we had so much fun!
Kate caught on quickly to the fact
that you march up to the door,
say "Trick or Treat", then
they give you candy!

Gramma Re and her girls...

When Leah returned from Trick or Treating,
she rushed in the door with her pumpkin full of candy
and excitedly announced,
"Let's dump it and look at all of it!"

I've always taken a picture of Sis, Shawn and Leah at the end of their driveway heading off to Trick or Treat....
Seems complete with our precious Kate in the wagon too!

The end ;-)

Celebrating Fall with Family

Rich and dad...best friends

Happy, happy times...love those self portraits

Jack's first spin in a swing at the park...he loved it!

Four months old

Momma and Daddy have a sense of humor...
Jack really liked his box though ;-)

Rich and Rachel's neighbor dressed up as

his daughters favorite cartoon character...

now that is pure love!

Rachel and Jack....he has momma's eyes

Jack discovered his tongue using it to talk up a storm....

he had us all in tears laughing ;-)

Painting pumpkins at the neighborhood pot luck.

Rich and Rachel live a block from the river.

This is taken from a park in their neighborhood...lovely.

St James Art Fair 2009....

This is one of those shots where you get the stranger to take it...
we thought she did a really good job!
Jack was already taking in the sights.
We had the best time this year with Rachel, Rich and Jack.
They made the St James Art Show 2009 extra special.

Oh the smells!

Glass Jewelry...she's from Signal Mountain, TN.

These guys had a sense of humor...they were selling foot long hot dogs..

Lunch...yum! A friend of a friends booth. The crab cakes were delish!

Jack is the best baby and hung out like a pro at the Art Fair.

He's 3 1/2 months and is the happiest little guy....

he's rolling over and cutting his first tooth already.
Pop and I had the best time this weekend with
Jack and his mommy and daddy.....
whom he absolutely adores.
He knows when his folks enter a room....radar!

Look at those sweet dimples in his little arms..love them!
I believe he has his mothers eyes...

but we believe this photo shows a similarity between Jack and Pop-Pop....;-)

We had the very best weekend

Spending time with our family is pure joy!

You guys are the best and we love you all so very much!
