We moved into our new home last weekend and had almost gotten settled when the ice storm hit. Can't imagine if we had waited until this weekend to move! I'll try and post some pictures after we check on the house tomorrow. Tree limbs fell all over the yard....when they fell, it sounded like bombs going off....really scary!
Yesterday, Dick lost his job. We have health insurance for another month. Our finances are a mess. Still....In God we still trust.... it will all be okay.
Psalm 28
7 "The LORD is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy
and I will give thanks to him in song."

Maree -- So sorry to hear the bad news. I am glad you are in a warm hotel right now and I hope you get to go home soon. I am also sorry to hear about Dick's job. Hang in there!
It is so good to hear from you. Meme Lorie and I were just saying tonight how much we missed you. Did you get moved? Is your new home without electricity because of bad weather? We will be praying for Dick and your circumstances. God is bigger than anything that has come your way. Blessings
Oh Maree, I am so sorry to hear about all that is happening right now. I am blessed to hear you turning to the Lord & relying on HIM for strength, You have encouraged ME in your valley. Lifting you up, sister.
Hope Miss Leah is feeling better too...
I was really worried about you...I knew something was wrong because it's just not like you to not post. I am so sorry about Dick's job and the ice storm and about everything. But yes God does prevail, keep reading your devotional. I will be praying HARD for you guys! Miss you and love you.
LeAnn:)
Oh, Maree, I'm so sorry about your circumstances. We have endured through some very challenging times ourselves. Often it seemed like everyone had advice and pieces the advice didn't always align with each other (or even with the Word sometimes). So, I learned to ask the Lord for a Word from His Word. Something that was just for me. Something that would sustain me even in the darkest times. He was so faithful to do that. And I was faithful to record it in a journal so I would have it as a remembrance of His voice when I felt I could no longer hear. So, my prayer for you not only is that your circumstances will change, but that you will hear His Word for you . . . right now.
OK, a just sent you an SOS email and now I click over here and you have let us hear from you. I pray things will turn around. You are a sweet loving person and I pray it will get better soon. later, Trish
