Way too much fun in one weekend.......

I sent this photo to my daughter Melissa to see if she thought it would be fancy enough for a black tie optional event. Melissa loved it, with her blessing, I wore it and felt great even though there were some ladies there decked to the nines. Oh yeah...I bought it at Dillards for $32! ( they are giving things away there)

These shoes would never have been an option for me when I was 50 pounds heavier... this photo does NOT do them justice....they are G-o-r-g-e-o-u-s!

Got on sale at DSW for $15.

The night after the black tie optional event we had a Valentines dinner at our church with musician Michael O'Brien , very romantic. Michael and his wife tell their story in the video below.

Michael's wife Heidi mentioned a quote by Corrie Ten Boom that

"There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still"

Amen!

I got to thinking tonight, I haven't seen Maree for awhile - well, you have disappeared from my sidebar (FIXED by the way!) so - I couldn't see when you updated!!

Good to see you are still fabulous - tell your daughter I miss "hearing" from her & seeing those girls! Facebook has ruined her!!! :) And send her my love!

Maree, you look so glamorous! LOVE the shoes and the metallics. (Isn't it fun when friends dress alike... kindred spirits, I'd say.) And Dick looks very handsome in his red Valentine's Day tie.

I'm with Sara... miss seeing pictures of your dear grandchildren. Hope all is well with you and your family.

WOW! What an honor to be on your blog! My Gosh, Girly....we DO look good! Isn't it funny that we both wore metalics...what's really funny is that I LOVE the Gold you have on! Had I found it, it would have been worn and we would have matched! Too funny....we apparently are kindred spirits who just like the same things...that makes me happy! Can't wait to get my hair done by your girls...hope I look "hip." You are such a great GalPal and an example of true beauty inside and out! Love You Bunches, Maree...such a beautiful name! Deborah
