We survived....

The storm hit the Louisville area yesterday and stalled...7 inches of rain in 7 hours...our town has a mess to clean up.

Sissy and the girls stopped over during the second storm since the President of the place Sis works sent everyone home. We have all been sick. It's like a cold virus hit all of us and stalled like yesterdays storm. I've been worrying about Sis having to work and take care of her family too, so I was so glad to see them all and give hugs. The rain however, didn't seem to want to leave...ever.

Leah loves to cuddle and will sit on my lap or curl up next to me all day. Kate is on the move...constantly. Happy as a lark...up and down steps and in and out of rooms. She will stop at a moments notice though to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" or play "This Little Girl Going To Town".

Leah had her favorite snack, a small bottle of Sprite and some chocolate covered pretzels. She looked up at me with those beautiful brown eyes and says, "Grammy, can we make some cookies? Chocolate chip or sugar cookies, please??" (we'll do that next time she comes over, we ran out of time). We talked about the fact she was starting prekindergarten next week and would start getting Weekly Readers...can it be? Already?

Kate loves apple juice and this tiny baby girl had a small apple and two banana's! Kate has learned so many words and loves sign language, however, she says the word and signs it at the same time...cute, cute, cute! Let me tell you though, when Sis says time to go...Kate rushes for the door and happily announces, bye-bye! bye-bye!, to anyone willing to listen! She can't wait to get in her car seat, snap it up, and be on her way HOME!

Like Janet said, that's an awful lot of rain! On the news it showed
people stranded in their cars on flooded roads. Hopefully, it is now over.

Some rain and storms came our way late last night, but we only got 2 inches.

You grandbabies sound so adorable. Glad you had a visit with them.Hope you feel much better, too, Marie.

Hugs and blessings,

Renie

That's a whole lot of rain. Isn't the weather crazy this summer? I was just telling someone that our Georgia summer is not as hot as it usually is. But California is having a terrible go of it. Your babies are so sweet. It's cute Leah wanted to make cookies. Avery and I made some last weekend. Little Jack is beautiful. I know you are crazy about him.

There's nothin much better than having your grandbabies AND your sweet daughter around is it? The only thing better is to have you son and his family there too. Have a super weekend. Blessings
Love the photos.
