The old me..

Trish this post is for you...I really have a heart for anyone who is struggling like I did for years and years to get healthy. Trish asked me to post some before pictures...they are very hard to find. I have punished my family for so many years with bad diets I went on and the unspoken rule...Mom doesn't like her picture taken.

Why would I? Fat is not easy to look at, on myself especially. You know like when Oprah lost all that weight and she brought out a wagon full of the fat equal to what she lost...and we all go yuck!!!!! That's how I felt every time I saw a picture of myself....yuck, I would feel bad for DAYS after I saw a bad picture of myself.

This picture was of me cooking a holiday meal at church....this picture exist because I was hidden...those were OK....sad. I looked like a stuffed bird.....

Waist up still didn't hide my football player shoulders.

Trish, I must really love you!!!

Leah and me on the back porch

Behind a chair in a dim room was okay... This was last Christmas.
I remember this day, it was Leah's first birthday party...I was very happy, but in so much pain... it shows on my face. Brad looks great in this picture. ;-)

It's over now....I don't starve myself anymore, you can take a picture of me....

I'm free!!;-) Praise the LORD!!!

A really big thanks to Cinnamon at the Louisville Convention Bureau who told my daughter Melissa about www.thedailyplate.com . The rest is history...if you are new to my blog you can read about it here. Melissa really encouraged me and supported me and I love you sweety for standing on your head to help Momma out!!

Here's
a post about my knee issues brought on by being overweight. No doctor EVER told me that for each pound I loose it's 4 pounds of pressure off my knees....if you loose just TEN POUNDS YOU CAN TAKE FORTY POUNDS OFF YOUR KNEES!!!!! People...I've lost over 200 pounds pressure off my knees.....I fly when I walk now...I can jog.

As you loose the weight you will have to face some issues of why you carried extra weight....it's different for everyone, we all have have extra baggage.....some of us stuff our baggage....food is so soothing and comforting.

Also I had an extra little problem....Dick... a former big time diet sabotager. He wanted to eat...so he wanted me to eat....ice cream, pie, cake, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken. I'm a pleaser.......not a good combination. He loves me, any shape, any size....I am blessed.

However, I had to big time sit him down and do some really strong talk...maybe a few tears....bottomline...I needed his help. He finally HEARD me and agreed to do this with me. He still struggles when I give him 6 ounces of chicken and I take 3 or 4 ounces and sometimes I take a smaller plate.....but for the most part he's hanging in there! Love you doll baby!!

By product......

I'm not sure why this picture exist...maybe he thought he'd look better sideways????

Dick loves to have his picture taken, any size any way....guys think so much differently about things!!

Dick has lost 35 pounds..gone from tight 40 inch pants, extra large shirts, to loose 36 inch pants and medium/large coats and shirts......I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!!!

Now he can see his belt...he's at the zoo this past summer with the Sam.

Last week at Brad's house Dick took this picture..size 10 jeans....I'm still in shock.

I'm will always be on the journey, my work is not done. I gained 2 pounds over the Thanksgiving holiday...not sure what caused it...the difference is, I'm aware...I'm back on track....the extra two are already gone......

This will be the way I live for the rest of my
life.....
and I'm really excited about it!!
Eat less, move more.....
BRING IT ON!!!!!! ;-)

Thank you a million times! You have truly inspired me. You are so pretty and you were so pretty heavy too. You just look so much younger. Wow! My foot is broken. I had the x-rays today at my rheumatologist. He was surprised that I could stand the pain this long. I have so much pain with my arthritis and you are right that when I lose this weight I should feel so much better. I found the Bear soup today at Publix. I appreciate all your tips and suggestions for my eating. What do you snack on? I got some diet hot chocolate (25 calories) and I am looking forward to the sweet trip. I guess now I have gotten so wordy that I should have emailed you,my friend. Your place looks great. When I look at my pictures from now next Christmas I will be so excited. Thanks so much for your support! You are truly a friend!
